Dr David Hancock is the Government's Construction Director within the Infrastructure and Projects Authority and chairs the Government Construction Board.
Renowned internationally as a leading thinker and practitioner in the field of risk, he is the author of the bestselling book “Tame, Messy and Wicked Risk Leadership” and was the Head of Risk for Transport for London and Terminal 5 Heathrow and a board director with Halcrow now Jacobs.
He is a high-risk project reviewer for government and sits on the boards for Buckingham Palace refurbishment , British Antarctic Survey and is the Non-Executive Chairman of CIRIA. He has a Degree and PhD in engineering alongside an MBA. A Chartered Engineer, Chartered Fellow of the Institute of Personnel and Development and Fellow of the Association of Project Management.
