Gordon Murray has practised in Glasgow for forty years. His work has been exhibited across the UK, at the Royal Scottish Academy and RIAS in Edinburgh, in Rotterdam and Marseilles- as well as in the 2004 Venice Biennale. He was Professor of Architecture and Urban Design, at the University of Strathclyde in 2007-2015, and President of The Royal Incorporation of Architects in Scotland 2003-5. He merged GMA with Ryder Architecture in 2012 and became a Partner and design champion for the global practice, developing their research programme. He retired in 2020 and set up a research consultancy.
