Michelle is a principal at BDP and she chairs the civil and structural engineering group across the practice. Her passion is for integrated design, where the engineer and architect think together from the outset of a project, before ideas begin to form. She believes this creates a platform for truly innovative thinking and leads to amazing building design. Michelle encourages a creative culture in her team enabled by technology. Her projects include adaption of The Old Admiralty Building and Garrick Club in London, new Student Housing and a library for the University of Roehampton and the Pears Buildings, a world-leading research facility at the Royal Free in London. In 2010, Michelle was awarded an MBE for services to the Construction Industry, and in 2011, she was named Business Woman of the Year by Veuve Clicquot. She is a Fellow of The Royal Academy of Engineering.
