Daniel Kendall is a Chartered Senior Project Engineer for High Speed 2, specialising in the management of temporary works. Daniel helped develop and implement the projects strategic approach to the technical approval and assurance of temporary works across the Phase 1 route, covering the initial enabling works and now on the main works civil and station contracts of this multi-billion-pound project. He has over 16-year of heavy civils experience in the water and rail sectors, having previously worked for Black and Veatch, Talyor Woodrow and Costain predominately in the area of temporary works design and management, including being ultimately responsible for the safe management of all temporary works on the ATC Systemwide Joint Venture on Crossrail. He is passionate for helping others learn about temporary works and has given various talks on the subject including as guest lecturer at the High-Speed College Birmingham.
