Dr David Hancock is a chartered engineer and commercial advisor in the Cabinet Office providing construction advice and support across Government. A graduate of the Government's Major Project Leadership Academy and a high risk project reviewer for the Government Major Projects Portfolio. He sits on a variety of boards across government including Buckingham Palace refurbishment, British Antarctic Survey, Grenfell Tower and chairs the cross Government Construction Board and the NEC users group. Prior to this from 2009-2016 he was Head of Programme Risk and the PMO for TfL. Renowned internationally as a leading thinker and practitioner in the field of risk and authored the bestselling book “Tame, Messy and Wicked Risk Leadership”. He has worked in public, private and voluntary sectors. A fellow of Cranfield University business school. He has a Degree and PhD in engineering from the University of Nottingham alongside an MBA from the University of Bath
