Kate Ellis is the Strategic Director of Major Developments at the City of Lincoln Council. Kate acts as strategic lead on all major development, investment, infrastructure, net carbon zero, climate change mitigation/adaptation and economic growth initiatives for the Council. Kate and the team continue to develop and deliver a wide range of projects from master developer of a large-scale development of a new community of over 1,200 new homes to a new city investment plan reflecting the priorities within the Council’s Vision 2025 including Digital City, City Centre Vibrancy and Strategic Housing. Kate has worked in local government for 27 years undertaking a diverse range of roles covering Business Services, Funding, Commercial Development, Planning, Heritage, Economic Growth, Partnerships and Regeneration. Prior to this, Kate spent 5 years in the private sector following the completion of her law degree, including management within the commercial leisure sector.
