Paul joined JN Bentley – a leading civil engineering and construction company, part of the Mott MacDonald Group – in 1985, working as an operative for the family company. Since graduating from Nottingham University in 1990 with a degree in Civil Engineering, Paul has progressed through the business to take on various roles, from Engineer to Site Agent and Contracts Manager, before being appointed Managing Director in 1999.
In 2017, Paul took on an additional role as he was appointed General Manager of the Water and Environment Unit for Mott MacDonald’s business across the UK and Europe. Then in 2020, he moved into a new role of Regional Manager for the Mott MacDonald Bentley Contracting region. This covers the delivery of design-and-construct and construct-only projects in the water, environment, energy, commercial building and local authority sectors by JN Bentley and subsidiary companies Mott MacDonald Bentley (MMB) and JBA Bentley (JBAB).
With over 30 years’ experience in the civil engineering and construction industry, specialising in the construction and management of water and wastewater assets, Paul’s expertise comes from working on schemes in the water and wastewater sector delivering works for major clients including, Yorkshire Water, Anglian Water, Severn Trent, Northumbrian Water and United Utilities.
