Judging process

Now in its 39th year, the British Construction & Infrastructure Awards is recognised for having the most prestigious and rigorous judging process in the built environment sector. Over nearly four decades, the awards have earned an exceptional reputation for celebrating only the very best projects, teams and companies.

Each category is assessed by its own independent judging panel – made up of major clients, respected industry leaders and an overall head judge. Together, they review every entry, agree the shortlist and conduct live presentations to determine the winners.

Our judging process is built on fairness, independence and full transparency. If selected as a finalist, you will be invited to present your entry directly to the judging panel. Final judging dates for each category will be published soon.

Stage 1:  Online Judging – once the entry phase closes, the judges will review online and score each submission to determine the shortlist.

Stage 2:  Live Presentations – once the shortlist is announced, all finalists will be invited to give a presentation to our judging panel. This will take place from  1 to 7 September 2026 at our central London office:

emap Publishing Ltd
2 nd Floor
Harmsworth House
13-15 Bouverie Street
London
EC4Y 8DP

Put your best foot forward this year and submit your entry today and you could make it through to this exclusive judging phase.
